On January 27, the submarine had stopped the exercises planned at 8:00 a.m.

 

La Minerve took part on Saturday January 27 in an operation intended to train naval aviation pilots in the radar tracking of submarines.

 

The plane had to locate the submersible and study the radar contact field in order to make the best use of its detection devices. Around 8 am, the sea becoming rough and the weather difficult, the pilot of the plane gave up the exercise and returned to his base.

 

It was then decided to cancel all the exercises, and the Minerve received a message leaving its commander freedom of maneuver.
